Martins–Abiloye commends Babatunde Kolawole’s defection to PDP

The House of Representatives Candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for Akoko Southwest/Southeast Federal Constituency, Hon Olutade Martins-Abiloye has expressed delight over the decision of the lawmaker currently representing the Constituency, Hon Gabriel Kolawole Babatunde, to dump APC for ever growing PDP.

In a Press Statement issued by his Media Team , Martins-Abiloye popularly known as " IRAWO ", described the movement of Hon Kolawole also known as " AMAECHI ", to the PDP as a clear pointer that the party will defeat APC and emerge victorious in the federal constituency and other elective positions in the 2019 polls.

Hon Martins-Abiloye describes AMAECHI as a courageous and grassroots politician who knows that the people of Akoko Southwest/Southeast Federal Constituency and indeed Ondo State, are tired of unfocussed and nonperforming ruling APC.

"We look forward to work with my friend and brother Hon Kolawole for the success of our party especially our Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, myself as the PDP candidate for our federal constituency in the forthcoming general election.

"Our party is very delighted with defection of our respected Hon Kolawole, the action will make our victory more easier in the constituency, we know people are with PDP and shall vote for us by God's grace comes February, 2019", the PDP Reps candidate said.

Hon Martins-Abiloye appeals to other House of Representatives candidates from the federal constituency to imbibe justice and fair play by supporting and honouring agreement between Akoko South-west and Akoko South-east local government areas over the rotation of the position every eight years, noting that his candidacy should be supported by all to enable Akoko South-east completes its two terms in the National Assembly.

IRAWO who expresses appreciation to Hon Kolawole for standing by this agreement, vows to improve education and healthcare services for the people of the constituency as well as facilitating rapid development to towns and villages in the constituency if voted as a member of the House of Representatives in the 2019 polls.

It will be recalled that Hon Kolawole Babatunde had on Wednesday November 21, 2018 announced his resignation from APC and joined PDP with immediate effect over the mismanagement of APC recent primaries and how the party fielded its candidates especially in his federal constituency.
