Multiple sources claim the Speaker of the House of Representatives Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has decamped to APC
Unconfirmed reports say the defection took place today (Monday) in his home state, Sokoto, with the speaker officially attending the APC stakeholders' meeting.
It was also said that at the meeting were Aliyu Wamakko, governor of Sokoto state, and Inuwa Abdulkadir, former minister of youth development.
Reports say Tambuwal is expected to formally announce his defection on the floor of the house of representatives when it resumes plenary on Tuesday.
Some members of the house are said would defect along with him from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
