ONDO State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko has congratulated General Muhammadu Buhari on his emergence as president-elect, even as he called for peaceful Easter celebration.
The governor while speaking with newsmen in the Government House, Akure yesterday urged the president-elect to be magnanimous in victory and rule the country with the tenets of the rule of law as inherent in his acceptance speech.
He appealed to the newly elected president to work assiduously towards fulfilling his electoral promises to the Nigerian electorate.
Mimiko who assured of his administration's partnership with Buhari in moving Nigeria forward, also congratulated President Goodluck Jonathan for his show of sportsmanship in congratulating the president-elect even before the final tally of votes, describing it as a step in the right direction to further deepen Nigeria's democracy.
