I don't think the Federal Government is serious about it. The situation in Lagos can't be compared to what obtains elsewhere in the country, even the Federal capital territory, Abuja. I don't believe the national assembly will welcome the proposal if it's tabled before it.
The proper thing is to give the okada riders proper orientation concerning the dangers in plying the express roads and high ways, especially in the major towns and cities nationwide; instead of the ban.

The proposed ban on okada by the federal Government is not a welcome idea at all because the government that wants to ban some people from what brings in money for them has no alternative replacement for them. So, how will they be taking care of their families?
Don't be surprised that there are graduates among these okada riders. A lot of people took to the trade because they didn't have a choice. Government should do something serious to address unemployment first before doing that.
